What to know
This covers the everyday work rather than the big restorations: a scale and clean, whitening, root canal treatment, wisdom tooth removal, and bone grafting when a jaw needs building up before an implant can go in. Most of it is done in a single visit. Grafting is the exception - the bone has to heal before anything can be placed on top of it, so it usually means planning two trips.
Small treatments are where it is hardest to tell whether you are being quoted what you need or what is easiest to sell, because no single item costs enough to argue about. We read the plan before you agree to it, ask the clinic what each line is for, and say plainly if something does not look necessary. What you do need is confirmed in writing, with the price, before any work starts.
